GLAM ROCK GENRE

 Glam Rock is the genre of music that we shall be be doing in our A2 music promo. Glam Rock is a genre that started in the 1970's and during this time the genre peaked and was very successful, this was mainly due to the fun and parody within the music.  The genre declined after 1976. Glam Rock did not go unnoticed though as it had an impact on other genres . Steel Panther were one of the Glam Rocks bands that revived the genre and brought it back into the world.

 Glam rock also known as glitter rock s a style of rock and pop music that developed in the United Kingdom in the early 1970s, which was performed by singers and musicians who wore outrageous clothes, makeup and hairstyles, particularly platform-soled boots and glitter. The flamboyant costumes and visual styles of glam performers were often camp or androgynous, and have been connected with new views of gender roles.
