INSPIRATIONAL VIDEO RESEARCH

 

 

Above is a video made by Steel Panther called 'if you really really love me'. This video is very much like what we plan to do as it has ellements of the type of narrative we want but maily the performance is very simmilar to what we have planned. The way they dress in this video has given us much inspiration and we hope to make the band look very simmilar dress wise to steel panther. Steel Panther often promote there stage presence as being very dramatic which drags the audience in unlike any other type of video. Although this song is a ballad it is a very simmilar paced song at 100 beats per miniute each. This can help us to come up with a range of different shot and editng compositionsinoreder to achive a higher grade.

This shot that me and the group havereally focused on as this is one of the shots we are going to try and incorprate into our music promo. This shot is very convetional of a glam rock videoo due to the miss-en-scene in the video. The miss-en-scene in the video such as the clothing and design of the set is very typical of the glam rock genre. The simplistic layout emphasises the band's stage presence which makes the viewer focus more on the band mebers.


The shot above is a very convetional shot in the glam rock genre as it refrences sexual behavious and deffers the very obvious sexual intentions. Once again the lighting and shot compostion emphasises the band members and makes the viewer focus totally on the members in the shot.
