Our lighting plan is key to to the success of our music video as in any video without a decent level of lighting alot of shots either don't work or having shadows or faces that are to white. Below is the lighting plan i created which states main elements of the lighting equipment we have use of. The curtain lights, and rigged lights are already in place for us to use however the rest of the equipment will be provided by ourselves. The set up of all these lights will need to be close to perfect in order to get the desired lighting effect on our shoot. Each light will need to be carefully adjusted and moved to ensure that there are no such problems as shadows, too dark, to light, and the white balance in the shot. In our pre-lim we used similar lighting effects therefore this a way of testing what sort of effects these types of lights have on each shot. We found that one of the biggest problems when using these lights was the white balance in the face, to counter this sort of problem we will change the balance on the camera's or change the position of the lights. Once we arrive at the venue and set up the lighting equipment we will try to make the room as dark as possible and block out any natural light. Doing this will give us the best possible environment to make sure our lighting is to our correct specification. As many of the lights we are using require a lot of power we have contacted the arts centre to make sure that we can use the light and to ask if there was power supply plugs in the room.
