SHOOT DAY EVALUATION DAY 1

On the day of our first shoot there was many different problems and hick-ups to overcome. The day started out relatively straight forward after picking Jamie up and meeting the rest outside the Arts Centre. the first problem we had was that we had to make two trips to fetch the equipment which was very time consuming and inconvenient due to the fact we was not able to store the equipment in the centre whist we did the second run. We overcame the problem by leaving 2 members behind to sit with  the equipment whilst we got back. once we had arrived from the second run there wasn't any car parking spaces close to the centre so we then had to park roughly 5-10 minutes down the road then walk up.

Once we where let in we took all the equipment into the venue and had a short meeting on how we should get through the day and what we should do to start off. We then set up the equipment which was very time consuming due to us trying to get the lighting to a suitable standard. All this was video'd as we wanted to use this in our time lapse sequence.

Throughout the rest of the day we filmed many different shots but but had difficulty focusing the shots due to the light and fast movement of the band. Other such problems we had was getting the lighting right in the second room we had access to (blue room). The blue room had many mirrors placed round the room therefore we had to make sure that the lights would not be seen in the shot and no shadows where forming from them.

The day after the shoot we came together to review the footage we had taken but as we did this we realised that nearly all the footage was either out of focus or not what we wanted. We sat and discussed the options we could go down but in the end we came to the conclusion of re-shooting. for the next time we where going to follow more detailed plans and make sure that the cameras where set up correctly in order to get the footage we wanted.
